1924 Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd sterling silver demitasse coffee spoon set in original box. This set is English sterling and as such is marked with a date letter and maker.
The spoons have a slender wire handle accented with a singular coffee bean. The bowls are quite shallow and almost round in shape. The resulting spoon has a quite elegant timeless look which would work well with many time periods.
The box measures 6" by 4" by 10/16" and is made of covered wood lined with silk and velvet. The interior of the box is in good condition with a tear along the silk covering the hinge area on one side. The exterior of the box has significant wear to the covering but is not cracked or otherwise damaged.
Each spoon is approximately 4" long with bowls measuring 13/16" across. The coffee bean decorations on the handles appear to be Bakelite or similar early plastic. The spoons weight varies slightly spoon by spoon but is 8 grams each on average. The spoons are all in good condition with no chips or cracks in the beans. The bowls of the spoons have wear from use, light surface scratches and tarnish.
