The first lamp begins with a passionate red-orange color scheme on the parrot’s detailed body. At the top of its head, the intricate plumage becomes a bright fern green. The parrot is perched on a branch in varying shades of brown. A gloss black glass base supports this rainbow of hues. The blue parrot is much the same, with the exception that the parrot is blue. These lamps are a pair of early 20th Century figural lamps depicting large parrots on a black base by the Tiffin Glass Company. To find these birds with their original glass bases is quite rare. They would make the perfect addition to any glass lamp collection.
The red parrot has a couple of very small paint flakes on the plumage of its head (please see the images). There is also a chip on the red parrot’s tail (see photos). The blue bird has a chip on the base where the bird gets mounted. Once the bird is also on the base you cannot see this chip on the base, nor does it affect anything visually (see photos).
