This whimsical glass drummer dates to the 1950s and was made in what was formerly known as Czechoslovakia. The drummer’s portly belly is further extended by his huge white drum, which is portable. He bangs on it loudly as he marches through the wintry streets. His white hat matches the drum, as does the sleeve that keeps the drum from rolling down the street. His scarf is a light purple, while is shirt is a dark green. His pants are blue, possibly to mimic denim jeans, while his shoes are a customary brown. The glass stand upon which is mounted is a mixture of white and green hues. It is lumpy to resemble the grass. Last, but not least, his blue eyes pierce the onlooker with their directness. This is a wonderful piece for any collection.
