This rare footed and covered vegetable dish has intricately designed panels that cover every aspect of the porcelain serving ware. Images of Greco-Roman figures in pastoral settings near water or on chariots are found throughout the piece. Pinks, browns, greens, and blues all merge with a glaze that provides a watercolor feel. The edge, handle, and feet all have gold lines in them. Likewise, the royal blue curvatures that separate the panels from each other also have such lines. This luxurious item is from Italy and is a prime example of Capodimonte. It will make a fine addition to any china collection, especially of the Italian variety.
