This exquisite vase dates to c. 1850. It comes from China and is done in a flambe-type style. Reds, whites, dark browns, and light browns merge in natural patterns. The top of the vase flairs out as does the bottom. The neck is a piercing red, while the bottom is much darker. The piece is truly beautiful to look at. The neck is very long in proportion to the rest of the body. This would make an excellent addition to any collection of Asian pottery.
