This stunning, creamy white Cowan piece dates to c. 1900 and is done in the Art Nouveau style. A graceful nude woman dances with arms and leg extended in a pose with a tree. They are symmetrical, one flowing into the other. These curves make it difficult to tell where the woman ends and the tree begins. It celebrates the joining of humanity and nature. They both float on a cloud that seems to have a face of its own, which continues the motif. Nine holes surround the conjoined figures for flowers. This piece is a unique item for any Cowan or turn of the century collector.
