This is an original piece of folk pottery created by the famous folk artist Edwin Meaders. The Meaders family, regarded as the masters of the face jug form, has been producing works of beautiful pottery since 1893, passing the trade down through the generations. This piece is a rooster, featuring simplistic features and a glossy ultramarine glaze. Measures 16" tall with a base measuring just over 5" in diameter. Marked on the bottom with the artist's signature and date created. Available as a single piece (as priced) or a set of two available upon request.
