This exotic brass Persian bowl dates to the 18th C. The interior of the bowl is simple, with circular lines as the only designs. The edge of the bowl, which extends and curves outward is far different. Twenty-three identical palm trees circle the bowl at regularly measured intervals. They are very middle-eastern in design. At the top edge of the bowl are dots, which appear to be coconuts. They go back and forth between one and a cluster of three. These same coconuts appear on the tree itself. This is a fascinating addition to any antique collection.
