This handsome Japanese Imari vase has gorgeous red blossoms imposed upon a white, red, golden tone, and bluish-black background. Cherry blossoms appear by themselves and on images of cherry trees. Standing atop the vase is a hexagonal domed lid with a teardrop finial. The complex schemes and the array of colors make this a highly desirable piece from a high watermark period of Japanese pottery.
