This is an wonderful vintage chess set that was de-accessed from the Long Island County Museum. The set is beautifully hand carved from a resin and painted. The set is incredibly executed and each piece is its own work of art. The whole set depicts a chess battle between Native Americans and settlers. The pieces range from pawns that are Indians holding hatchets, Indians riding horses that are standing on their back legs, and settles with rifles and six shooters. A perfect gift for the collector and chess player.
