This is a rare Kriegsverdienstkreuz Cross of Military Merit this medal was established on May 23, 1915, by the last ruling prince Reuss of the younger line by Henry XXVII, only 366 medals were awarded. The award is made in the form of an equilateral black-enameled Teutonic cross with a size of 44x44 mm with silver edges. In the center of the medallion there is the monogram of Henry XXVII, crowned with the prince's crown, the Gothic letter "H" and the serial number of the monarch - "XXVII". On the left and right beams of the cross is the date of the beginning of the Great War: "19" on the left and "14" on the right. The cross is framed with a round laurel wreath, covered with green enamel and bandaged from below with a ribbon. This post-war copy is a production of the Berlin firm "Paul Meybauer Militär-Effekten und Orden-Fabrik" were produced from silver of 925-th test with the application of two-color enamel. Their distinctive feature is a convex shape, screw fastening to the tunic, a characteristic nut with a stamp and a breakdown, and also a pressure plate repeating the form of the award.
