Vintage Art Deco Era Esemco 10K White Gold Camphor Glass Diamond Bracelet
Highly prized by collectors and lovers of fine romantic jewelry. This filigree 10K white gold, diamond and blue stone bracelet would make a perfect wedding or anniversary gift. Crafted in 10K White Gold, the design features open work filigree panels with a Camphor Glass center reverse carved in the sunburst pattern and a old European cut diamond accent. There are two blue stones on either side adding a nice touch of color. Using an innovative design this piece opens with an extended bar that pulls out to allow it to be put on and then has a secure flip clasp to lock it in place. Once closed the designed is hidden and it looks like one continuous piece.
When closed it measures 6 1/2" and in the open position it measures about 8 1/2". It is 1/2" at the widest front piece. Signed Pat. No. 1801963 Esemco 10K and is in very good condition. Weighs 8.3 grams. Circa 1920's.
History: Esemco Company started producing jewelry in 1906 in Newark, NJ and subsequently changed the name to Shiman Manufacturing Co. Inc. in 1971. This company produced jewelry well into the late 1980's.
