A really beautiful antique Victorian era stick pin, made of 14K gold, and set with a garnet and pearl. Square cut gemstone is set on a diagonal within a hand chased infinity setting. A single pearl is held on the looped end.
MARKS: S-N 14K This was the maker’s mark for the American company, Sansbury & Nellis (dates of operation, 1904-1931, Newark, NJ).
Length is 2-3/8". Head is 5/16" wide.
Small garnet approximately .25 carat
Pearl is a dainty 2mm.
Victorians might have worn this as a tie, lace, or lapel pin. Unisex in style.
Fine antique condition. Gemstones are in wonderful shape. Pin stem shows some wear towards the bottom (scratches), and variable toning from age and use. A little jewel! C. 1900’s antique Victorian jewelry.
