For sale here is an exquisite vintage 1940s 50s Republic period of China export hand carved multicolored jadeite jade statue sculpture of a pale green bird behind a screen of russet flowers on its original hand-carved wood base. Very pretty and terrific craftsmanship! Measured on the wood base it stands 8-5/8" tall by 4" wide by 3-3/4" deep, and weighs 639.4 grams total including the base. The wood base is 1" tall. There is a putty-like substance at the base of the jade that holds it in the wood base, but it can be removed with a light tug. There are two original stickers - one on the sculpture, and the other on the bottom of the wood base. Excellent vintage condition with fine light wear and some accumulated grit and grime, but nothing that a light clean won't remove - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
