For sale here is a STRIKING vintage 1940s handmade sterling silver Mexican modernist design bracelet by Los Castillo of Taxco. This is design number 740, and I am guessing that it is a Margot design, one of her last before leaving Los Castillo to start her own company, Margot de Taxco. The design looks to me to have been derived from either pre-Columbian glyphs or antique Ranchero designs of pre-Revolution Mexico. In any case, a great design by one of the greats of Taxco silver! Measures 7/8" wide, and fits up to a 7" wrist comfortably, although it fits my 7.5" wrist snugly. Weighs 47 grams total. Marked with 1940s marks for Los Castillo as shown, "Sterling Made in Mexico Los Castillo Taxco" and design number "740". Other than a good amount of tarnish to the silver, this bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and some tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
