For sale here is a HUGE vintage 1970s one of a kind entirely handmade sterling silver modernist brutalist cuff bracelet artist/metalsmith Rachel Gera. An incredible tour de force piece of art to wear by one of the greatest of the era! Rachel Gera was born in Europe just before the Second World War, and was sent by her parents to live in China to escape Nazi persecution. After the war, she moved to Israel where she attended art school and became a jewelry designer. Her clients included some of the most famous in the world at the time including Elizabeth Taylor and Peter Ustinov! Her work has been shown in museums around the world, and her work is in many important collections of 20th century artist jewelry. In addition, I have collected and bought/sold her work for many years, and this is the only example of this bracelet that I have seen ever! Super rare design, and an impressive piece to wear! Measures 3-3/8" wide at top, fits up to a 7.5" wrist presently, and weighs a super hefty 121 grams total. Marked as shown, "Hand Made Israel Gera 925". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
