For sale here is a GORGEOUS vintage 1980s handmade sterling silver amethyst coral and turquoise Mexican ornate Matl Style Palomas brooch pin/pendant by Los Ballesteros of Taxco. Outstanding entirely handmade ornate design of two birds at a fountain filled with flowers! Central emerald-cut amethyst measures 1/2" by 3/8", and the small turquoise and coral cabs are about 3mm diameter each. Hand repoussage in the doves, and applied wire and beads of silver in ornate scrolling designs. Very much in the Matl Matilde Poulat style! Measures 2-3/4" wide by 2-1/2" tall, and weighs a hefty 30.1 grams total. Marked at back as shown with the Los Ballesteros maker mark, also "Hecho en Mexico 925" and post-1980 Los Ballesteros registry mark "MM-34". Excellent vintage condition overall with small chips to a couple of the small turquoise cabs that are not at all noticeable when worn as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
