For sale here is an ICONIC vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver Mexican modernist Fish Bones design pendant by talented Taxco mid century modernist designer Miguel Garcia Martinez. A clever variation on this oft-repeated theme, the head of the fish dangles and moves when worn! For this reason, I would suggest it be worn with the head down so that it moves freely with the movement of the wearer. Martinez's long and storied career has been recounted endlessly elsewhere, and it's easily found online with a quick search of google. Suffice it to say that he designed for many years in Taxco, and produced much exceptional and striking modernist design of the first caliber. This pendant measures 2-1/2" long by 1-1/4" wide, and weighs 5.7 grams total. Marked as shown with his maker mark, "Miguel" as well as "Sterling Mexico 925". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and some tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
