For sale here is a HUGE and quite rare vintage 1950s one of a kind handmade sterling silver and green onyx pebble modernist cocktail ring by artist-craftsman Johannan Peter of the Ein Hod artist colony in northern Israel. An exceptional mid-century modernist ring design! A true rarity! Entirely handmade and no doubt a one of a kind! Johannan Peter was one of the founders of the Ein Hod artist colony in Israel in 1953 along with Dada artist Marcel Janco and surrealist Jean (Hans) Arp, and much of the silver modernist jewelry designed by Arp was actually made by Peter in his Ein Hod workshop. Measures 1-1/4" by 5/8" at top, rises 3/4" above the finger, and adjustable band will fit from about size 5 to 10 US. Marked as shown, "Peter" for Johannan Peter, "Ein-Hod" for Ein Hod artist colony, also marked "ST 925 Made in Israel" and artist conjoined mark "PJ" also for Johannan Peter. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
