For sale here is a BIG vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver and azurmalachite stone inlay Mexican modernist 'striped' design hinged bangle bracelet by maestro Felipe Martinez of Taxco. Martinez studied sculpture before working for Hubert Harmon in the 1940s. In the early 1950s Martinez named his own workshop "Piedra y Plata" (stone and silver) for this type of seamless joining of silver and stone that was his hallmark style! The stones are incredibly vivid and variegated!! Measures 7/8" wide with 7-1/4" wearable inside circumference by 3/8" high dome, and weighs a super hefty 76.1 grams total. Marked inside as shown, "Piedra Y Plata" for Martinez shop in Taxco, also "Martinez Sterling Taxco" and design number "147" which makes it an early design by him. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
