For sale here is a SUPERB vintage 1950s 60s handmade copper enamel geometric modernist platter/artwork by American artist/enamelist Eve Rabinowe (1924-2015). Rabinowe was born in Vienna, Austria and immigrated to the USA in 1938 as a jewish refugee of the Nazis. Her family settled in Queens, NY, and Eve studied clothing design at the Fashion Academy in NYC. She worked in costume design until she married Emanuel Rabinowe in 1943. She belonged to the American Crafts Council and spent much of her life as an artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She concentrated on enameled copper through the 1960s, later moving on to explore fiber arts, jewelry, and painting. See my last photo for a screenshot of an obituary I found for the artist online. This striking modernist enamel artwork on copper measures 7-5/8" diameter and weighs 373 grams or about 3/4 pound prior to packing. Marked at back with the artist mark "Eve" as shown. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks or damage whatsoever to the enamel as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
