For sale here is a HUGE and very attractive vintage 1940s handmade 940 silver (higher grade than sterling) Mexican Art Deco floral design brooch by Hector Aguilar of Taxco. Regarded as one of the greatest of the Mexican silver designers from Taxco in the 20th century, and his jewelry items are of the highest craftsmanship! Measures 3-1/2" by 3-1/4" and weighs a hefty 52.4 grams total. Marked at back as shown, "Taxco", conjoined HA maker mark for Hector Aguilar, and "940" for 940 silver.
