For sale here is a BIG vintage 1950s 60s signed handmade sterling silver pre-Columbian design brooch pin pendant by Mexican silversmith ERE of Taxco. A striking design and superbly crafted! The Taxco maker ERE is one of the little-known silversmiths of Taxco, and in the Hougart book on Mexican silver marks it is noted that his mark is sometimes found on Ric (Erika Hult de Corral) designed pieces. A versatile as well as attractive piece that can be worn both as a brooch and a pendant! Would look great on a neckring or a chain or even a black cord! Measures 2-3/8" by 2-3/8" and weighs 11.7 grams total. Marked at back as shown, "Sterling Taxco Mexico" and also marked on the pendant loop maker mark "ERE" and the Eagle 3. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and some tarnish at back as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
