For sale here is a rare and wonderful vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver modernist bowl designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for his silversmith Hans Hansen in Kolding, Denmark. A very sculptural and quite hard to find design by this master of the Danish modernist mid-century! Measures 5-1/2" wide by 3-1/2" by 2-3/8" high at the rim at the sides, and weighs 129.8 grams total. Marked on the underside as shown, "Anno 1958" (made in 1958), "Hans Hansen Denmark Sterling" and design number "446". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
