For sale here is a fine antique late 19th century Chinese export silver handmade sterling silver Dragon and Pagoda decorated case by the firm of Yuan in Shanghai China. Yuan was in business from 1896-1940, and is no relation to the company of the same name in business today according to the my Chinese maker marks reference. A fine and very well-crafted entirely handmade case decorated with a repoussage dimensional Dragon and Pagoda and with etched details to the front as shown. Measures 3-3/4" by 3" by 1/2" thick, and weighs 133.4 grams total. Marked as shown, "Sterling" and "Yuan". The fabric band inside is a little loose, and the latch is a mite temperamental, but closes securely. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
