For sale here is a HUGE vintage 1980s 90s handmade sterling silver and opal Mexican modernist ring by Pepe Cerroblanco of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is a very large and weighty ring with two large prong-set boulder opals at top, and makes quite a statement on the hand! Boulder opals are stones that show interiors of opal but with some of the surrounding matrix stone still present on the outside. These stones show incredibly play of color including flashes of green, red, blue, yellow, and the most intense purple that I've ever seen in any variety of opal! Measures 1-3/8" long by 3/4" wide at top, the stones rise 1/2" above the finger, size 11.5 US, and weighs a hefty 40.4 grams total. Marked as shown inside band, "Mexico 925 GC-01 Cerroblanco", and also hand-etched signature on underside of the upper section "Pepe Cerroblanco". I'm guessing that the hand-signed pieces are probably one of a kind as I've seen it so rarely on his jewelry, and never on something that I've seen more than once. In any case, a truly extraordinary design and superlative craftsmanship! Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
