For sale here is a HUGE unique and rare 1940s handmade brass and copper with coral turquoise and red jasper stone inlay Angel pendant on chain necklace by Matilde Poulat of Mexico City. A striking and most unusual piece by this artist, it's also in a larger format that really makes a statement when worn! The pendant measures 4-1/8" by 3" wide on a 21" handmade mixed metals (copper and bronze) large-link chain, and the necklace weighs 59.4 grams total. Marked at back with large "Matl" as shown. No other marks present, and I'm dating this piece to the early part of Poulat's career from the late 1930s to the mid 1940s. It's hard to tell, but the angel has turquoise stones in its collar, and the far right one is there though darker than the others so it looks like it could be missing in some of my photos. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
