For sale here is a RARE pair of vintage 1950s one of a kind handmade sterling silver modernist earrings by California mid-century metalsmith Caroline Gleick Rosene (b.1907) of San Francisco. She was very well known in her time, and participated widely in arts organizations and exhibitions in the fields of jewelry and metalworking. She was a founding member, and the second president (after Margaret de Patta) of the Metals Arts Guild of San Francisco, and she trained several of the younger metalsmiths of the group including Irena Brynner. These earrings are a one of a kind creation by her that you will not find for sale anywhere else! Each is a little different because they are handmade. Measure 1-1/4" by 3/4", and the pair weigh 11.7 grams total. Marked at backs as shown, "Rosene Sterling". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
