For sale here is an incredibly RARE and hard to find brass wire choker necklace/bracelet in the original box by designer Franziska Porges Hosken (1920-2006). She studied under Walter Gropius, achieved early fame with her furniture designs, and her jewelry designs were a short-lived project from the late 1940s. (For further information about this amazing woman artist/designer/activist, see the Wikipedia page about her. The photo of her on Wikipedia shows her wearing an example of her wire jewelry from the 1940s!) A fine example, and with the original box! So incredibly rare, I don't believe that there is another for sale online, or anywhere for that matter! This choker necklace measures 12" long by 1/2" diameter but of course it can expand to fit larger sizes, or be worn as a bracelet which I find to be more interesting (see my photos for some of the possible configurations that I've discovered with it!) Similar to a spring it can be stretched to fit larger sizes. This item was originally purchased directly from the designer before she passed, and was never worn, although the box does show some wear and accumulation of dust from the passage of time - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
