For sale here is a BIG set of vintage 1950s 60s handmade mixed metals sterling silver brass black onyx and turquoise Mexican modernist geometric design cufflinks with matching tie tac pin by Maestro Tono of Taxco and from his desirable early 'Piedra Negra' (black stone) line of jewelry. A striking geometric modernist design with the verve and color of the Mexican mid century! The cufflinks measure 3/4" by 5/8", the tie tac measures 1/2" by 1/4", and the set weighs 18.4 grams total. Marked for the maker as shown, "Tono Piedra Negra" also "Hecho en Mexico Sterling 925 Taxco AC" and design number "T1". (I think this means that this design is the very first cufflinks design executed by the Tono Taller in Taxco.) Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
