For sale here is a BIG and bold vintage 1940s 50s handmade sterling silver modernist cuff bracelet from Americraft of New York City. Americraft was design firm that employed artists and craftsmen to make entirely handmade usually one of a kind art and craft items for their gallery in NYC post-WWII to at least the 1960s. They sold a variety of decorative craft items for the home, jewelry, and some more utilitarian items like flatware and pottery. I've been able to find very little information about the firm or the artists/craftspeople that they employed so far, and welcome any further info about the enterprise. This unique handmade bracelet measures just under 2" wide at top with 5-1/2" interior circumference plus 1" gap at back thus will fit up to 6-1/2" wrist, although it could be opened up gently to fit a little bit bigger wrist if needed. Marked "Americraft" and "Sterling", also the maker mark for the craftsperson that designed/made the bracelet which I haven't been able to identify yet. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
