For sale here is a RARE vintage 1950s Antonio Pineda handmade mixed/married metals 970 silver copper and brass geometric Mexican modernist belt buckle from Taxco. A striking and very desirable design! Composed of four colors of metals, two of silver (dark and light, both 970 silver) with copper and brass, all in a geometric design that has been produced using the married metals technique which requires master craftsmanship and impeccable precision in the making! Measures 3-1/2" long by just over 7/8" wide, and weighs a hefty 28.1 grams total. Marked at back as shown with the Antonio crown mark, also "970 silver", the Eagle 17, and "Hecho en Mexico". Excellent vintage condition with light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
