For sale here is a BIG vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver and faceted crystal bead modernist hair pin by American artist/silversmith Ruth Berridge (1921-2004). I am listing three hair pins by her, and each is unique and probably one of a kind! She is very well known to collectors of mid century modernist jewelry, though her jewelry items are relatively scarce compared to most. This hair pin is from her personal collection and no doubt was worn by her, and was purchased from her estate after her death. Measures 3" by 2" wide, and weighs 10.3 grams total. The marks are a little blurry given the uneven surface but I can make out "Berridge" and "Sterling". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
