For sale here is a HUGE and rare vintage 1940s handmade carved and painted wood and lucite Patriotic red white and blue Democratic Donkey design brooch pin by Elzac. A wonderful and seldom seen design by this famed California company! He’s mostly wood with carved and painted details and has a carved lucite ‘mane’ that starts at the side and comes up and over at the top of his head. A humorous way to make a political statement! Measures just over 3” tall by 2-1/4” wide. Unmarked as is usual with Elzac jewelry as they originally had paper hang tags that the owners usually removed after purchasing.
