For sale here is a BIG pair of vintage 1950s 60s handmade sterling silver and enamel abstract mid century modernist cufflinks by John Szymak of Dallas Texas. An especially nice larger pair of his cufflinks! Here's information about John Szymak taken from Marbeth Schon's " The Wearable Art Movement Part II" article on the Modern Silver magazine website...
John Szymak attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts, and the School for American Craftsmen in Rochester, New York. He maintained a workshop in Dallas, Texas. He worked in gold, silver, and pewter, with or without gems or enamels.
Measure 1-3/8" long by 1/2" wide, and the pair weigh 14.5 grams total. Marked at backs "Szymak" also "Sterling" on swivelbacks. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and some tarnish as shown - could use a polish but no damage or missing enamel - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
