For sale here is a RARE vintage 1940s 50s handmade copper and silver traditional design Mexican box by Victoria of Taxco. Designed by Ana Nunez de Brilanti for her store Victoria in copper with applied sterling silver design elements. Originally a card box for Canasta or another two deck card game, but can be just as easily used for men's cufflinks or small women's jewelry items. As shown, the doors open from the center outwards. Measures 5-1/4" by 4-1/8" by 1-1/4" tall, and weighs 345.8 grams or approx 12 ounces. Marked at the bottom, "Victoria Taxco Mexico" and design number "267". Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and some tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
