For sale here is a superb vintage 1960s handmade copper enamel modernist Tribal Figures artwork by Italian mid-century studio potter and enamelist Romolo Verzolini of Pesaro. A wonderful expressive one of a kind artwork! Verzolini was born in Pesaro in 1939, graduated from the Pesaro Art Institute in 1956, opened his own studio in 1960, and retired leaving his business to his twin sons in 1995. No doubt influenced by African tribal art, this original artwork is still in its original matte and frame, and is signed by the artist by hand at back where it also retains the original studio sticker. Measures 20-1/8" by 9-1/2" by 1" deep at outer edges of the frame, the enamel section measures 16" tall by 5-1/4" wide. Excellent vintage condition with just some light wear to outer edges of the frame, and no doubt some darkening to the fabric matte, but no damage, no chips or cracks or even crazing to the enamel section - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
