For sale here is a HUGE vintage 1940s 50s tribal ethnic oceanic art hand-carved wood anatomically-correct Warrior statue sculpture collected right after WWII in the Philippines from the Igorot tribe. He's quite a sturdy fellow with his spear and his shield, both of which are removable. The shield covers his anatomically-correct section shown in my last photo #8, so don't look if you are easily offended. He stands 22" tall (tip of the spear) by 7-1/2" diameter at the base, and I'm guessing he weighs about 10 pounds, so probably closer to 15 when packaged for shipping. Unmarked. I purchased this item from the estate of a an officer and a veteran of WWII in the Pacific, and who was the original owner of this item. His son told me that he purchased it when he was stationed there just after the war, so late 1940s, early 1950s at latest. Excellent vintage condition overall though the wood base does have a very small but stable crack at one side as shown in the photos - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
