For sale here is a SUPERB vintage 1950s handmade sterling silver Mexican geometric modernist design link bracelet by Reveriano Castillo of Taxco. Castillo started out as an apprentice working for Spratling and went on as a master craftsman with Aguilar before opening his own shop with his wife Maria in 1952 in Taxco. They were in business there until 1992. This bracelet is an early example of Castillo's work in the mid century modernist vein, and is quite heavy for it's size and very well crafted! (See the matching necklace and earrings set for sale in another listing in my store here on Ruby Lane.) The bracelet measures 7-1/2" wearable inside by 5/8" widest, and weighs a hefty 41.8 grams total. Marked as shown, maker mark of R inside C, also "Sterling Taxco", design number "50" and Eagle 3. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
