TERMS OF SALE:

We are located in the state of Michigan and therefore collect Michigan state sales tax on all sales being shipped to locations within the state of Michigan. You may provide us with your current resale certificate information in order to defer state sales tax charges.
Due to recent changes in Sales Tax Laws, Ruby Lane and a third party accounting firm manage the collection of sales tax for multiple states.

PURCHASE PAYMENT OPTIONS:

We accept credit card purchase capability for any purchase under five thousand dollars using the PayPal payment service. There is a small percentage fee charged to us for this service that we will add to your invoice for your purchase total.
You may always pay for your purchases by conducting a Bank Wire Transfer directly to
our business account or by sending us a United States Postal Service Money Order, or personal check drawn on a United States Bank. There is a delay in shipping your items if payment is made by personal check.
Any purchase over five thousand dollars requires payment made by bank wire transfers or personal checks.

SHIPPING OPTIONS:

We offer several choices for shipping your items. (ie. United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service, Federal Express)
For international shipments we will determine the most timely and secure service for shipping items to your area after purchase order process.
We require that all items purchased are insured for the full value before shipping. Frequently we use professional packing and shipping services. However we prefer to do the packaging for the smaller, more fragile items our selves prior to shipping to ensure they are properly packaged for safe delivery. This is also done in an effort to keep shipping expenses at a minimum cost.
If you prefer certain shipping companies used for your items, we will do our best to meet your needs. However special shipping requests may create a short delay in the shipment of your items, due to the fact that we are remotely located and may need additional time to deliver your items to your preferred shipping company.

RETURNING AN ITEM:

If the need should arise for you to conduct a return of your purchase, we ask that all items are returned to us in the condition as shipped with all original boxes and shipping materials in place, along with all stickers and marks still attached to the item. Please do not clean nor wash the item in any way, and do not remove any of the stickers, identifying marks or labels. If a return of the item or items purchased is required, we will be happy to refund your original purchase price less shipping costs, handling fees, and or any service fees associated with the transaction.

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

All items are expertly packed and insured, to provide you the buyer, with no worries or concerns about damage or loss. We ship items daily (Monday-Friday) via USPS. We will schedule delivery via UPS, or FEDEX upon request and ship once weekly via these carriers. Depending on the size, value, and fragility of your item, there may be a delay to permit adequate time for safely packing your items; we will communicate delays if any. We are happy to provide you with a shipping and cost estimate for your item via email, if you provide your location and zip code to us. Your item will be shipped once payment verification has been confirmed. If you pay by Personal or Business check (please allow 15 banking business days) for this process to occur. If you pay by USPS money orders or credit cards, your item with be shipped on the next mailing day following receipt of funds in our business account. PayPal and all credit card purchases will be shipped to verified and confirmed credit card billing addresses ONLY; please ensure the you provide the correct shipping address on your Ruby Lane purchase order. If you purchase more than one item at one time, we will do our best to ship them together (if possible) to save you some of the expense of shipping costs. Should any damage occur, even though we do our best to package all items carefully. Please do not return the items to our business location, it must be handled through the shipping agent with an insurance claim. I will be happy to assist in this process. Please be sure to retain all original packaging materials, if a claim is made the shipping agent will request to examine it. If a return of the item or items purchased is required, we will be happy to refund your original purchase price less shipping costs, handling fees, and or any service fees associated with the transaction. 6% sales tax will be added for Michigan buyers unless the buyer provides us with a completed and signed exemption form when the payment process is completed.
