This iconic modern designed Chemex coffeemaker is a wonderful example of classic modern design. It has a wonderful hourglass form made of borosilicate glass adorned with a wooden collar acting as a grip secured by a rawhide tie decorated with a wood bead.
The Chemex coffeemaker can be found in the permanent collections of museums throughout the world. Some being the Brooklyn Museum, Corning Museum of Glass and MOMA, NY.
The Museum of Modern Art displayed it as one of the best-designed products in 1943. The Chemex coffeemaker was also selected by the Illinois Institute of Technology as one of the 100 best designed products of modern times.
It will function and display well whenever you may choose to use it.
