This traditional hand made Native American black pottery engagement basket, made by the potter Christina Naranjo is a wonderful example of native pottery design. It has a wonderful substantial form, showing its finely hand polished surface with a carved and incised motif. It will display well wherever you may choose to use it.

Santa Clara Pueblo artist Christina Naranjo is very collectible because of her workmanship and famous family history in Pueblo pottery making.
Christina Naranjo (b.1892-1988) of the Santa Clara Pueblo, was a daughter of Sara Fina Tafoya and Geronimo Tafoya, and a sister of Margaret Tafoya and Camilio Tafoya. She was the matriarch of a family of renowned potters including daughters Mary Cain, Teresita Naranjo, and great-granddaughters Tammy Garcia and Autumn Borts-Medlock.
