A very nicely executed modernist landscape of a sunny coastal scene. The painting's surface area measures 9 x 14 ¾ inches. This is an oil on masonite panel which has been affixed to a backing and then framed. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner. There are numerous listed Weigands, I have not been able to accurately attribute it to any specific artist. The quality of the work speaks for itself. Judging from the materials and technique, this work dates to mid century. I believe the painting to be American in origin, but it could easily be European as well. A great looking painting perfect for a modern décor.
