Located in Palm Springs, artists belonging to this group included James "Jimmy" Swinnerton, Wilton McCoy, John Hilton, Joseph Frey, Darwin Duncan, R. Brownell McGrew, Fred Penney and Evelyn Naylor. Established in Palm Springs, CA in 1950, the center is one of the most influential institutions to grace the city. In almost 60 years of existence, it has fostered the careers of dozens of landscape painters whose work is now in demand by museums and collectors.
