This is a fine etching by the Illinois / Wisconsin artist Hubert Morley. Signed in pencil and titled by the artist. Plate measures 11 5/8 by 8 5/8 inches approximately. Paper size is 13 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches approximately. Offered unframed. The title of this work is the "Back Yard Parley" and is dated 1944. Very good condition. Nicely detailed and toned.
Hubert Morley (1888-1951) Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Belonged to the Chicago Society of Etchers. Won first prize at the Third International Exhibit of Etching and Engraving in 1934 (Chicago). Member of the famed Prairie Print Makers. He has works in the collection of the French Government; Art Institute of Chicago; Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC; and the State of Illinois Art Collection. Listed in Who Was Who in American Art (WW53, WW47).
