Signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner. Condition is very good. A skillfully executed expressive figure drawing that clearly shows the skill of the artist at tastefully depicting the female nude. Benjamin Miller is a listed American artist found in Who Was Who in American Art.

Benjamin Miller (1877-?), Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, worked in Cincinnati as painter, printmaker and educator. He studied at MIT and the Cincinnati Art School with Frank Duveneck. Widely exhibited. He was a member of the Cincinnati Professional Artists and his works can be found in the NYPL, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, France. Publications include The Woodcut of Today at Home and Abroad; La Gravure Sur Bois Moderne de L'Occident; The New Woodcut; Ohio Art and Artist.
