Offering this original oil on artists canvas board by the listed American artist Laura Trevitte Horne (1891-1958), NY artist. This work is offered unframed and measures 8 x 10 inches. Work is in very good condition. A nice impressionistic rendering of a cottage with trees in the background. This work has lots of heavy impasto. Great colors and texture throughout. Titled on the verso "Spring in Central Park" along with the artist's name and original price. Signed by the artist on the front in the lower right corner "L. T. Horne". Horne was born in Dalton, Georgia. Known as a landscape painter and ceramic artist whose work is found in the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC. She lived in Mount Vernon, New York and studied at the National Academy of Design with Leon Kroll and George Bridgman.
