Offering this original oil on canvas painting of the infamous Portland Head Lighthouse. This work measures 16 x 20 and is offered unframed. Signed in the lower right "F. Weber," listed American NY / SC painter Frederick Theodore Weber. This is a relative clean painting with a stable paint surface. There is a past repair that is visible from the back (see photos). Dates to the early part of the 20th century. This is truly a beautifully rendered scene with a great sense of motion and atmosphere. One of the better lighthouse paintings we have encountered and a true gem for a collector.
