Artist: Segundo Huertas Aguiar
Born in San Juan, Argentina, in 1923. While growing up on a farm, he spent most of his spare time painting landscapes from nature. He is best known for his seascapes, landscapes and painterly street scenes. In 1965 he moved to Chicago, IL and traveled extensively within the United States. In New York, NY about 1977, he created his first lithographs at the American Atelier. The artist immediately found a liking to the medium being especially attracted to the wide color range available. Presently, his reputation is growing and his paintings have been shown in very prestigious galleries, including the Pavilion Gallery, Portland, OR, The Old Olive Tree, Scottsdale, AZ and the Walton Street Gallery, Chicago, Illinois.
Description: This painting represents the best of Huertas's work. Certainly one of the best examples of his colorful and energetic impressionistic landscapes ever produced. The large scale of the work combined with the skillful use of the palette knife brings the scene to life for the viewer. An excellent choice for an investment quality work. Clearly signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The colors are stunning. An overall impressive work perfect for a quality collection.
