Never worn "Poste et Cavalerie" silk scarf designed by Joachim Metz in 1986.
Designed by Joachim Metz in 1986, the design of this scarf is based on "Sabretache", or the beautifully decorated bags worn by French Officers. These bags officiated as pockets and indeed were flat, and hung by the means of rings from the same belt from which their saber was attached. Metz selected Sabretaches that Louis the XIV wore.
The sabretaches are rendered in golds, cream and blues on a white background. The border is a wonderful cherry red which will make it stand out when worn or framed. It is a super classic design and as such, timeless!
The scarf's condition is perfect, as it was never worn, and it comes in its original box. The scarf measures about 35" by 35".
